These terms explain the ground rules for using the Lodestar Compass website (www.lodestarcompass.co.uk). By using the site, you're agreeing to them, so please take a moment to read them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

This website is run by Sally Hansen, trading as Lodestar Compass (a sole trader based in England). When we say "we", "us" or "our", we mean Lodestar Compass. You can contact us at [email address].

If you book or buy any of our services, your client agreement for that service will apply to it too. If anything in these terms conflicts with your client agreement, the client agreement wins.

Information on this website

Everything on this site, including our blog posts, articles, videos, reflection prompts and free resources, is shared to inform and inspire. It's general information, not personal advice.

Business content isn't legal, financial, tax or accounting advice. Please speak to a suitably qualified professional before making decisions in those areas.

Mind and Body content (including information about Systematic Kinesiology, Reiki and wellbeing practices) is not medical or psychological advice and isn't a substitute for it. We don't diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions. If you have any concerns about your physical or mental health, please speak to your GP or another qualified healthcare professional, and don't stop or change any treatment or medication without their advice. The content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos, videos, resources and the design of the site, belongs to us or is used with permission. This includes the Lodestar Compass name and logo and The Lodestar Compass Method™, including its framework, tools and materials.

You're welcome to:

  • view, read and print pages for your own personal use

  • share links to our pages

  • quote short extracts, as long as you credit Lodestar Compass and link back to the original

Please don't copy, reproduce, sell, adapt or share our content, or use The Lodestar Compass Method™ or our resources in your own work, training or services, without our written permission. If you'd like to use something, just ask.

Using the site responsibly

When using this website, please don't:

  • use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful

  • try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected systems

  • introduce viruses or other harmful code, or attempt to disrupt how the site works

  • use automated tools to copy or collect content from the site

  • submit false information through our forms, or use them to send spam or offensive material

Booking and signing up

Our booking calendar is provided by Calendly and our newsletter sign-ups by MailerLite and Substack. Using these tools means you'll also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

Booking a call through the website doesn't create a contract for services. Any paid work is agreed separately under our client agreement.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

Links to other websites

Our site includes links to other websites, including our social media pages. We include them because we think they're useful, but we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your information. Visiting them is at your own discretion.

If you'd like to link to our website, you're welcome to, as long as you do it fairly and don't suggest any partnership or endorsement from us that doesn't exist.

Availability of the site

We'd love the site to be available whenever you need it, but we can't guarantee that it will always be available or uninterrupted. We may update, change, suspend or remove any part of it at any time.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law doesn't allow us to, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Apart from that, and because the content on this site is provided free and for general information:

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
